Matterhorn
Das Schweizer Matterhorn ist mit seinen 4.478 Metern Höhe einer
der höchsten Berge der Alpen und die meistfotografierte Touris-
tenattraktion der Schweiz. Am 14. Juli 1865 erfolgte die Erstbestei-
gung des Matterhorns über den Hörnligrat durch das Team des
Engländers Edward Whymper.
Mount Matterhorn
The Swiss Matterhorn is one of the highest peaks in the Alps and
at 4,478 meters, the most photographed tourist attraction in
Switzerland. The first ascent of the Matterhorn on the Hörnligrat
took place on 14 July 1865, by the team headed by the English-
man Edward Whymper.
