Eiffelturm
Der von Gustave Eiffel erbaute und im Jahre 1889 eröffnete
Eiffelturm ist wohl das berühmteste Wahrzeichen der Welt. Mit
einem Gewicht von 10.000 Tonnen, 1.710 Treppenstufen, zusam-
mengehalten von 2,5 Millionen Nieten und einer Höhe von 320
Metern ist er ein Turm der Superlative. Mehr als 200 Millionen
Menschen haben ihn schon besucht und jährlich kommen 5,6
Millionen Besucher dazu.
