Gateway Pfau
The Gateway Hotel Pasumalai liegt auf einem bewaldeten Hügel
am Vaigai River, mit Blick auf die Stadt Madurai, im südindischen
Bundesstaat Tamil Nadu. Es gilt als bestes Hotel und ist bekannt
für seine freilebenden Pfauen. Es scheint, dass die Pfauen jeden
neuen Hotelgast persönlich begrüßen müssen. Um das Treiben
am Hoteleingang besser beobachten zu können ist unser uns
empfangender Pfau auf den Stein geklettert und verharrt darauf
mehr als eine halbe Stunde.

for its wild peacocks. The peacocks appear to welcome each
new hotel guest personally. To observe the activity at the hotel
entrance our peacock climbed on to the stone and stayed there
for more than half an hour.
