Chandra Fluss
Der Chandra River, ein Nebenfluss des Chenab, entspringt im
indischen Himalaya Distrikt Lahaul-Spiti. Der Fluss fließt vom Lahaul
Valley kommend in südöstlicher Richtung, macht dann eine 180
Grad Kehre und fließt in südwestlicher Richtung ins Spiti Tal. Diese
Region im mittleren Himalaya (1.300-4.200 Meter Höhe) wird auch
als kalte Wüste bezeichnet, da sie im Regen Schatten des Pir
Panjal Bereiches liegt.
Chandra River
The Chandra River, a tributary of the Chenab rises, in the Indian
Himalayan Lahaul-Spiti district. The river flows from the Lahaul Val-
ley in a southeasterly direction, then makes a 180 degree turn and
flows in a southwesterly direction into the Spiti valley. This region in
the central Himalayas (1,300-4,200 m altitude) is also called a cold
desert because it is in the rain shadow of the Pir Panjal range.
