Engel des Nordens

Eine von Antony Gormley kreierte moderne Skulptur in der Nähe

von Gateshead im Nordosten von England. Die 20 Meter hohe

und 100 Tonnen schwere Stahl Skulptur trotzt durch das massive

Fundament (20 Meter tief, 100 Tonnen Beton und Stahl) einer

Windgeschwindigkeit von bis zu 160 Stundenkilometern. Die stäh-

lerne Kleinigkeit wurde zum Preis von ca. 1 Million Pfund aus dem

Lottosäckel bezahlt.

Angel Of The North

A modern sculpture created by Antony Gormley near Gates-

head in northeast England. The 20-meter and 100-ton steel

sculpture defies wind speeds up to 160 kilometers per hour with

its massive foundation (depth 20 meters, 100 tons of concrete

and steel). The steel was paid for with 1 million pounds from the

lottery‘s coffers.
