Blütenpollen
Im Frühling sammeln die Bienen fleißig die Blütenpollen von den
Blüten. Der Pollen-Staub wird dabei durch Verkleben mit Nektar zu
festen Kügelchen verklumpt.
Pollen nennt man die männliche Keimzelle der Blütenpflanzen. Er
wird vom Wind oder von Insekten, hauptsächlich von den Bienen,
auf die Narbe des Griffels übertragen, wo er aufkeimt und die Blü-
te befruchtet. Außer dieser Befruchtungsaufgabe dient der Pollen
den Bienen als wichtigstes Nahrungsmittel. Er enthält hierzu alle
lebenswichtigen Stoffe.
Pollen
In spring, busy bees collect the pollen from the flowers. The pollen-
dust is glued together with nectar to form solid beads.
Pollen is the male germ cell of flowering plants. It is transmitted
by the wind or by insects, mainly bees, to the stigma of the style,
where it germinates and fertilizes the flower. Apart from its role in
the conception process the pollen is also an essential foodstuff for
bees. It contains all vital materials.
